• Invitation-Letter: Original Invitation Letter from Japanese host / inviting Company on its letter head stating the purpose of travel and duration of stay and should be duly signed with signatory’s name and designation.
  • a) Letter of Guarantee is required, if Japanese company is sponsoring the applicant.
  • b) Copy of DIN (Director's Identification Number) Approval Letter.
  Please Note: Travel dates mentioned in Invitation Letter should match with the dates mentioned in covering letter.
• Financials:
  • a) Foreign Exchange receipt or Credit card photocopy with statement of last three months.
  • b) Original Bank statement for the last 6 months of salary account.
  • c) ITR for last 3 yrs.
• Proof of Occupation:
  • a) Brief Company Profile.
  • b) A request from Chamber of Commerce or Business Organizations India : CII, FICCI, NASSCOM, ASSOCHAM (if taking a multiple entry).

  Please note: a) Photograph should not be more than 3 months old, scanned/stapled and should not be used in any of the previous visas. b) The Embassy will not accept the photos where reflection is there on spectacles.
• Covering Letter: Covering-Letter from applicant stating his name, designation, passport number and purpose & duration of visit in brief. The letter should be duly signed by the applicant and addressed to "Consulate General of Japan, Kolkata".

• Invitation Letter: Invitation letter from Japan host stating the purpose of travel, dates and duration of stay.
• Sponsorship Details: In case of visit is being sponsored by the Japan host, then host is required to furnish the following:
  • a) Original Letter of Guarantee if the invitee is bearing the expenses.
  • b) Copy of Passport (First & Last Page).
  • c) Copy of latest and valid Japan Visa.
  • d) Copy of Passport pages with status items; entry/departure and permission of residence.
  • e) Proof of Relationship with Guarantor.
  • f) Copy of Certificate of alien registration (Both front & back).
• Financials:
  • a) Original saving bank statement/ passbook of last six months.
  • b) Salary bank statement for last six months.
  • c) Latest Income Tax Returns.

Climate

The northern third of Australia lies in the tropics and so is warm or hot the year around. The rest of the country lies south of the tropics and has warm summers and mild or cool winters.
