Covering letter on company letterhead mentioning the applicant's name, designation, passport number, purpose of visit and duration of stay. The letter should be duly signed and addressed to the Consulate General of Iran, Hyderabad. |

Scan copy of the Iran visa reference code. |
| Invitation Letter |
Invitation Letter from the partner/company in Iran in the 3-page Performa Form 136 obtained from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Tehran. This document is not mandatory. |
| Important Information |
If there is no direct invitation from the Iranian company, the case may be referred to Iran and the visa may be issued under special circumstances. |
| Chamber of Commerce Letter |
Letter from a recognised Chamber of Commerce addressed to the Visa Counselor / Trade Counsellor explaining the purpose of the visit. |
| Personal Appearance |
Personal appearance of the applicant is mandatory. In case the applicant is unable to appear personally, a colleague can be authorised with an authorisation letter and company ID. |
| Yellow Fever Certificate |
Applicants travelling from or through yellow-fever-infected areas may be required to provide a valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate as per applicable health regulations. |
| Health Regulation |
For passengers leaving India, there is no Indian Government health check requirement. Passengers travelling from yellow-fever infected areas are advised to take vaccination and carry a valid Yellow Fever Certificate. |

Embassy of Iran in India does not issue Work Visas on its own. The applicant must have the Iran employer/contact approach the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran for work visa approval. Once approved, the approval is faxed to the Embassy and the work visa is stamped. |
| Alternative Process |
A travel agent in Iran may also follow the same process. After obtaining the required approval from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran, the approval is forwarded to the Embassy and the work visa is stamped. |
