The Skilled Independent Visa helps the applicant to migrate to Australia. This visa uses a points test and allows the applicants to migrate to Australia if the applicant has competent English language and other skills and attributes which will contribute the most to the Australian economy.
Note: The applicants do not require any sponsorship to apply for the Skilled Independent Visa.

Temporary Business (Long Stay) – Standard Business Sponsorship (Subclass 457)
This is the most commonly used program for employers to sponsor overseas workers to work in Australia on a temporary basis.
Employers can be either:

2. Overseas businesses.
With this visa you can employ overseas workers for a period of between one day and four years.
With this visa those people you employ from overseas can:
1. Bring any eligible secondary applicants with them to Australia – secondary applicants can work and study
2. after entering Australia, have no limit on the number of times they travel in and out of Australia.
3. From 14 September 2009, all primary Subclass 457 visa applicants who are sponsored by a Standard Business Sponsor must demonstrate that they have English language proficiency that is equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test score of at least 5 in each.
4. Work in Australia for a period of between one day and four years
Skilled Nominated Visa (489)
Skilled – Nominated or Sponsored (Provisional) (subclass 489) visa
Features:
1. This points-based visa is for skilled workers who are nominated by a state or territory or sponsored by an eligible relative living in a designated area in Australia.
2. The visa is valid for four years, and a visa holder must live and work in a specified regional area.
3. Certain family members can be included in the application, including members not included in previous subclass 495, 496, 475 and 487 applications.
4. This visa allows holders of provisional visa subclasses 495, 496, 475 and 487 to stay in Australia for up to 48 months from the date their current visa was granted.
Requirements:
Applications are by invitation only. To be invited to apply, a person must:
1. have an occupation that is on the relevant skilled occupation list
2. have a suitable skills assessment for that occupation
3. be less than 50 years of age when the invitation is issued
4. meet English language requirements
5. be able to score at least 60 on the points test.
6. submit an Expression of Interest and be nominated or sponsored
Regional Sponsored Visa (187)
Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme visa (subclass 187) (direct entry stream) closes to new applications from 16 November 2019
With the introduction of the Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 494), due to commence on 16 November 2019, the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS) visa (subclass 187) direct entry (DE) stream will close to new applications from 16 November 2019.
Applicants intending to lodge an RSMS DE nomination and visa application, are reminded to not leave lodging online to the last minute due to possible system maintenance. Check the system maintenance page prior to lodging.
Employers/migration agents are strongly encouraged to submit a request for assessment by a relevant Regional Certifying Body (RCB) regarding local labour market conditions before 16 November 2019, if they intend to lodge an RSMS DE nomination and visa application with the Department by 16 November 2019.
Basic Understanding……
This migration scheme allows employers in regional or low population growth areas of Australia, to sponsor employees who are foreign nationals for a permanent visa to work in Australia who want to sponsor skilled workers to fill skilled vacancies in their business.
The employees applying for a visa can be either skilled workers from overseas or skilled temporary residents currently in Australia.
Visa applicants who are currently living and/or working in Australia on a qualifying visa can apply for the onshore RSMS (subclass 857) visa. If the applicant do not hold a qualifying visa, they may still be eligible to apply in Australia if they last held a qualifying visa no more than 28 days prior to lodging an application.
Note: Applicants who do not hold a qualifying visa can apply for the offshore RSMS visa (subclass 119) and lodge their application in Australia. However, applicants must be outside Australia at the time of visa grant.
The RSMS Visa allows you and any dependent family members included in your visa application to live as permanent residents in Australia.

Employer Nomination Visa(186)
The Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) allows Australian employers to sponsor employees who are foreign nationals for a permanent visa to work in Australia.
Those who want to sponsor highly skilled workers for a permanent visa to work in their business can be either highly skilled workers from overseas or highly skilled temporary residents currently in Australia.
If the applicant is currently residing or working in Australia on a qualifying visa, they can apply for the ENS (subclass 856) visa [the ENS (subclass 121) visa is for applicants who are outside Australia]. If the applicant held a qualifying visa no more than 28 days prior to lodging an application then that applicant can still be eligible to apply in Australia for ENS also if the applicant do not hold a qualifying visa.
Note : If you do not hold a qualifying visa, you can apply for the ENS (subclass 121) visa and lodge your application in Australia, however you must be outside Australia at the time of visa grant.
