Covering Letter :
a) Covering-Letter from applicant on company's letter head stating applicant’s name, designation in the organization, passport number, purpose of visit, expenses to be borne by, contact information of the inviting company along with visa validity and type of entry addressed to "Consulate General of the People's Republic of China, Kolkata"
Invitation / Notification Letter: ORIGINAL Invitation/Notification Letter from Chinese host / inviting Company on its letter head with complete address & contact number, duly signed with round seal (on a blank space and not over any name/signatures) & signatory’s name and designation. The letter should be addressed to "Consulate General of the People's Republic of China, Kolkata"
Financials: Personal Original Bank Statement with minimum balance of Rs 1,50,000 with Bank seal and signature of authorized signatory on each page.
Note : Bank Statements should now have the IFSC code mentioned (mandate) in it along with applicant Name , Account No and Address.
Ticket: Confirmed Return Air Ticket
Medical: NIL

a)The Embassy would accept applications as Urgent ONLY if the intended travel is within 4 working days from the date of application, air tickets are enclosed and the travel dates are clearly mentioned in the Covering Letter

Covering Letter: a) Covering-Letter from applicant on business letter head mentioning name, designation, passport number, purpose and duration of visit in brief. The letter should be duly signed by authorized signatory with company stamp and addressed to – "Consulate General of the People's Republic of China, Kolkata"
Please Note: Covering-Letter on Letterhead if applicant is Self Employed or on plain paper if Employed .
Invitation Letter from China (a company or a person), Tourist Agenda, personal written statement with details as follows: a) name of the scenic spot; b) name, address and contact number of the inviting company or person; c) name and contact number of the applicant's working unit in India.
Invitation Letter-
If the applicant is unable to provide an Invitation Letter from China, the following documents are needed:
a. Tourist Agenda.
b. A copy of confirmed return air ticket and hotel reservation bill.
c. Personal Written Statement with the following details: i)name of the scenic spot; ii) name, address and contact number of the inviting(contact company or person). iii) Certification letter from the working unit of the applicant (with details as follows: name and contact number of the working unit, the applicant's income statement or recent 6 months Bank Statement of the applicant).

Employment Approval Document issued by Relevant Authorities in China namely China National Offshore Oil Corporation, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, State Bureau of Foreign Experts etc as applicable.

Medical: Physical Examination Record of applicant issued by Doctor from any Government Hospital
