Document / Requirement Details
Passport Original Passport with validity of minimum six months and minimum one blank page for visa stamp.
Please Note a) Copy of all used pages of passport including front and back pages.
b) Attach all your old passports (if any).
Bulgaria Visa Application Form One visa application form duly filled and signed.
Photo Specification Two recent passport size photographs with matt or semi matt finish, 60%-80% face coverage, white background and without border (Size: 35mm x 45mm).
Please Note Photograph should not be more than 3 months old, scanned/stapled and should not be used in any of the previous visas.
Covering Letter Covering-letter from applicant on company’s letter head stating his name, designation, passport number, purpose and duration of visit. The letter should be addressed to – The Visa Officer, Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria, New Delhi.
Recommendation Letter Recommendation letter from the Chamber of Commerce.
Invitation Letter Invitation Letter from Bulgarian host / inviting Company on its letter head stating the purpose of travel and duration of stay and should be duly signed with signatory’s name and designation. The letter should be faxed directly to the Embassy and a copy to us.
Declaration A declaration should be issued by the Bulgarian Business partner in a standard form and is required to be attested by the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce.
Please Note The applicant is advised to carry with him the original Invitation from his official/Business/Private Partner in Bulgaria as the Bulgarian Immigration Officials at the border check point would like to see it.
Financials a) Company’s and Personal ITR 3 yrs.
b) Company and Personal Bank Statement for last six months.
c) Credit Card copy/Foreign Exchange endorsement/Traveler’s Cheque with minimum amount Euro 50 each day.
Hotel Booking Hotel confirmation.
Ticket Confirmed Return Air Ticket.
Medical An Insurance policy with a minimum coverage of EURO 30,000, including all the Expenses for repartition as well as for emergency medical care and the Medical expenses for the duration of stay.
Authorization Letter Applicant will have to submit an authorization letter authorizing Mr. Ram Sunder / Mr. Deepak Sharma to collect the documents.
Please Note a) Personal Appearance is mandatory.
b) Documents should be presented in original and a copy of them should be attached to the visa application.

Additional Information

  • Applicants holding a valid multiple entry Schengen visa can travel to Bulgaria without obtaining a separate visa.
  • Holders of valid long term visas or residence permits issued by Schengen Countries are allowed multiple entries in Bulgaria for period of stay up to 90 days in any six-month period from the date of the first entry.

Covering Letter Covering-Letter from applicant on business letter head mentioning name, designation, passport number, purpose and duration of visit in brief. The letter should be duly signed by authorized signatory with company stamp and addressed to – The Visa Officer, Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria, New Delhi.
Please Note Covering-Letter on Letterhead if applicant is Self Employed or on plain paper if Employed.
Financials a) Personal ITR for 3 Yrs.
b) Company and Personal Bank Statement for last six months.
c) Credit Card copy/Foreign Exchange endorsement/Traveler’s Cheque.
d) Proof of sufficient funds to stay in Bulgaria with minimum amount Euro 50 per day. If accommodation has to be arranged by applicant, a minimum Euro 100 per day is required.
Hotel Booking Hotel Confirmation/proof of accommodation (for non prearranged tours).
Please Note Original documents/voucher issued by a Tourist organization/Tour operator for Pre-Paid tourist service is required, containing the license number of the tourist organization/Tour Operator, it should be issued by the Bulgarian Ministry of Economy, along with the name, license no of the Hotel and the duration of the pre-paid tour services.
Ticket Confirmed Air Ticket.
Medical An Insurance Certificate of overseas insurance with a minimum coverage of EUR 30,000 including the Medical expenses for the duration of stay.
Authorization Letter Applicant will have to submit an authorization letter authorizing Mr. Ram Sunder / Mr. Deepak Sharma to collect the documents.

Please Note Photograph should not be more than 3 months old, scanned/stapled and should not be used in any of the previous visas. (You can use the same photograph which you have used to get Destination Visa)
Covering Letter Covering-letter from applicant on company’s letter head stating his name, designation, passport number, purpose and duration of visit along with his proof of occupation duly signed by authorized signatory and addressed to – The Visa Officer, Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria, New Delhi.
Financials a) Proof of possession of sufficient financial means to cover the subsistence costs for each transit passage, to the minimum amount of EUR 50 or the equivalent of this amount in another freely convertible currency.
b) In the case of an overland transit passage by a means of transport operated by the applicant, additional financial means to the minimum amount of EUR 200 or the equivalent of this amount in another freely convertible currency.
Ticket Confirmed ticket reservation with all flights confirmed proving the transit port of entry is Bulgaria.
Authorization Letter Applicant will have to submit an authorization letter authorizing Mr. Ram Sunder / Mr. Deepak Sharma to collect the documents.

Work Permit Original or a certified copy of the Work Permit issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of Bulgaria and two copies of it.
Police Clearance Certificate Police Clearance Certificate issued by the competent authorities and attested by the Ministry of External Affairs of the country of origin of the applicant.
Accommodation & Funds Proof of Accommodation and sufficient funds to cover the subsistence costs for the whole duration of residence in Bulgaria (the document should be presented in original and two copies of it should be attached to the visa application).
